Adding Standard (Single) Products & Barcode Scanning

Adding products with accurate barcode mapping ensures rapid scanning on the billing counter.

1. Step-by-Step Product Creation

1. Navigate to Products > Add Product.
2. Enter:
   • Product Name: e.g. Tata Salt 1kg, Red Bull Can 250ml.
   • SKU / Barcode: Scan the manufacturer EAN barcode from the product packaging or leave blank to auto-generate.
   • Barcode Type: Code 128 or EAN-13.
   • Unit: Select base unit (e.g. Pieces, Packets, Kg).
   • Category & Brand: Assign product classifications.
   • HSN Code: 4 to 8 digit GST commodity code.
   • Tax Rate: Applicable GST slab (e.g. GST 5% or GST 18%).
3. Set Pricing:
   • Purchase Price (Exc. Tax): Your buying cost.
   • Profit Margin %: e.g. 20%.
   • Selling Price (Inc. Tax): Retail counter price.
   • MRP (Maximum Retail Price): Printed pack MRP.
4. Click Save & Add Opening Stock.
