Restaurant Menu Module: Categories, Modifiers, Add-ons & Variants
A well-structured menu speeds up order taking for waiters and provides an enticing digital experience on customer table QR codes.
1. Creating Menu Categories & Sub-Categories
- Go to Menu > Categories > Add Category.
- Enter category name (e.g. Starters & Appetizers, Main Course, Breads & Rice, Beverages & Mocktails, Desserts).
- Assign a display icon or image and set the sort order.
2. Adding Menu Items
- Navigate to Menu > Menu Items > Add Item.
- Enter Item Name (e.g. Butter Chicken Masala).
- Select Category and set Base Price (e.g.
₹380.00). - Select Food Type: Vegetarian (Green Dot), Non-Vegetarian (Red Dot), Egg (Yellow Dot), or Vegan.
- Set Preparation Time: Estimated kitchen prep time in minutes (e.g.
15 Mins). - Set Spice Level: Mild, Medium, Spicy, Extra Spicy.
- Upload a high-resolution food photo (
.jpg/.png).
3. Creating Modifiers & Add-ons
- Go to Menu > Item Modifiers.
- Create modifier groups (e.g. Choice of Bread: Butter Naan (+₹40), Roti (+₹25), Garlic Naan (+₹55) or Add Extra Cheese (+₹50)).
- Link the modifier group to relevant food items.
